Aside from our usual colouring page additions, this week we rolled out the launch of a new category titled Simple Brick Characters under the sub-category heading Building Bricks. In this area we hope to include lots of fun ways in which children can make use of locking construction bricks for both educational and recreational purposes. We have lots of really great ideas for this category and would love to hear your feedback on our simple brick characters. Our daughters both love to play with construction bricks, and also love to play with dolls and plastic figures etc. So one day as a test I made some stick characters from a popular construction brick brand to see what they would make of them. They immediately identified them as characters from their favourite tv show and started to roll play with them straight away. I started to make more of these characters and as I did I thought, why not add them to our website. In doing so I hit upon one important snag, copyright! – If I were to list the characters on the website I would have to do so without mentioning either the name of the popular construction brick brand, or the actual characters names upon which they are based. After a few attempts I decided to go with amusing names for the character families, and hopefully you will all be able to work out who they are supposed to be. Le and I are working hard on designing more of these characters and I hope to add to them on a weekly basis. If you have any special requests then please don’t hesitate to drop us a line (see our contact us page).

Stewie the pig kids colouring page
My apologies as I got a little behind the last couple of weeks in updating this blog. It is not that we haven’t been working on the site, we definitely have! We have just had our plate a little full with one of our other businesses reaching it’s year end. Without further ado, let me introduce our latest colouring page Stewie the pig
Twinkle the cheeky cat colouring page
It must be the weekend; we have one 8 week old fast asleep and one 4.7 year old outside in the garden painting. This gives me just enough time to add another update to the blog today, and this time its the turn of our new Twinkle the cheeky cat colouring page. Having launched the iggleBoo website just 10 short days ago, we are very proud to see Twinkle bring our total colouring page count now up to 11. I know this doesn’t sound a huge amount to keep children busy, but you have to remember that all of our images are unique and original, not to mention created and made available entirely for free. Please remember that in order for iggleBoo to grow and for us to start raising money for charity, we need your help. We need you to like and share our content on social networks, tell your friends about this website and for you to print and share our colouring pages. I hope to reveal a little more about how we intend to help charities at some point next week.
Mojo the monkey kids coloring page
Technically this update happened yesterday (Friday) but only today (Saturday) have I found the time to post this blog entry. Continuing the animal theme that we started last week, we have another new colouring page finished today titled Mojo the monkey. Mojo is a lovable and happy little monkey who loves to climb trees and eat fruit. I am pleased to say that Mojo has already been given a thumbs up from our daughter Le who really enjoyed colouring him. Download and print your free PDF coloring page of Mojo the monkey today.
Big bird with stick legs colouring page
It’s Tuesday and time for another update to the website. Today sees the addition of a new colouring page titled Big bird with stick legs. An unusual title for an unusual coloring page! – BBwSL to give it a shorter name is the work of my very own brother. The original artwork was called something a little shall we say politically incorrect, and so for inclusion on our website I had to rename it. The original was also created in lovely pastel colours and therefore I had to modify it slightly to turn it into the bird coloring page you see before you. As it features a few small areas to colour we have given this colouring sheet a recommended age of 4 years and above. We think the end result of BBwSL is a very polished and professional looking colouring page that wouldn’t look out of place on any classroom or nursery wall. Download your free PDF coloring page of big bird with stick legs today.
Ella the happy cat kids colouring page
It is most definitely hot today and we are certainly feeling the heat in our office. The UK isn’t usually known for it’s sub tropical heatwaves, but this week and last has proven to be just that. The hot weather is forecast to continue throughout next week, and we have just been upgraded to a level 3 weather warning (whatever they might mean). Anyway I digress, it is Friday today and that alone is enough to get us through the day. If that wasn’t enough, then may I present you with a little update for this boiling hot afternoon. Since we began this website I have been keen for the inclusion of an animals colouring page category, and today I am pleased to say that I got my wish. For the time being we have only a single entry in this find category (little clue there), and that is our Ella the happy cat children’s colouring page. I must confess that this is the first time I have ever made an attempt to draw a cat and I am very pleased with the end result.
Snoggle the square alien children’s colouring page
It would appear that it’s update time already, and without further ado, here is Thursday’s latest creation. May I welcome Snoggle to the website. Snoggle is a great example of why I love making these colouring pages; he is simple and yet full of character. This was one of those times when less was most definitely best. I tried him initially with a nose and various mouths but ultimately the simpler I made him the better he looked. Hopefully Snoggle will be as much loved by other children as he was by our own. Please pop over to the Snoggle the square alien colouring page for the free downloadable and printable PDF file. If you love Snoggle then please do not forget to like the page and share him with your friends.
Derek the friendly alien colouring page
Ok, I admit it, sometimes I do create some rather odd looking characters and this may just be one of those times. I still have absolutely no idea what he is supposed to be. Mum say’s that he should have been a she, but I liked the name Derek and so she became a he (if you follow me). Anyway, silly back stories aside; I hope that your children have as much fun colouring little Derek as I had designing him. Download the free PDF and print him as many times as you like at the Derek the friendly alien colouring page.
Eggward the alien kids colouring page
Eggward is an unusual egg shaped alien from the planet kloygge – How do we come up with these back stories 🙂 – I am guessing that I designed Eggward quite late at night as he is certainly an odd little alien character. Find out whether Eggward egg-cites your little ones over on the Eggward the alien colouring page.
Bob the friendly alien colouring page
New to iggleBoo today is a rather splendid and friendly little alien called Bob. I truly have no idea where the inspiration came from for this one, but our daughter Le really loves him. You can find Bob in all his Black and White outlined glory on the Bob the friendly alien colouring page. If you like Bob, then please don’t forget to share him with your friends on Facebook. Thanks, igg.
Robot Colouring Pages for Children
The next update today is the creation of a new category called Robot Colouring Pages. In here you will find all of our unique and original robot coloring pages designed for children and kids to colour. So without further ado, please pop along to the Robot Colouring Pages category and have a look for yourself.
Bethany the little girl colouring page
The first official update to our website now and it is the addition of a new coloring page: Bethany the little girl colouring page. Designed by myself, it is a simple outline colouring page of a cute little girl in a dress. Hope you like it, thanks.
Kids Colouring Pages
We are pleased to announce the arrival of our Children’s Colouring Pages category or for our international visitors Kids Coloring Pages. I know what you are going to say and you are right, there isn’t much to see yet. So far we have a grand total today of 6 children’s colouring pages and nothing else. So why did we launch the website so soon? – Well at the moment we are not actively promoting or marketing this website, therefore any traffic that we see is either from friends, family or from our presence so far in the search engines (minimal for the time being). It takes a long time for websites to gain popularity and even longer to appear high up in the search engines, and for this reason we decided to put the site live as soon as possible. This way we can grow the website organically and add to the existing content on a daily basis. The hope is that by the time start to see lot’s of visitors, we should in theory have lot’s more content. We are currently in talks with a number of graphic artists to assist in making our coloring pages, and at the same time looking into the other areas of content for the website. In the mean time, please have a look at what we do already have over in our children’s colouring pages category. Thanks, igg.
Welcome to iggleBoo
Let me be the first to welcome everyone to both our website and this blog. We hope that over the coming months and years you will come to love our inane ramblings and make good use of our exclusive and free content. As I write this first blog post we are currently bathed in the hottest heatwave here in the United Kingdom for what seems like years! – Our two children Le (4.7 years) and Boo (7 weeks) are really not enjoying themselves at the moment. Boo was premature by 6 weeks and therefore has enough trouble regulating temperature, and Le spent Monday in hospital this week having grommets installed in her ears. All in all it’s been a busy, hot and exciting week all round. Anyway enough ramblings, on with the show as they say. igg.
